Let

x-------> the time in minutes

y------> the water level in inches

we know that

the slope of the linear equation is equal to

m=0.75(in)/(min)

The y-intercept is the value of y when the value of x is equal to zero

In this problem the y-intercept is equal to

b=1\ in

the equation of the line in the slope-intercept form is equal to

y=mx+b

substitute the values

y=0.75x+1

therefore

the answer is

y=0.75x+1
