The ratio of height to width of a tv screen is 9 to 16 how high is a screen that is 30 inches wide

Since the ratio is 9:16, that means that if the height is x inches high and the width is y inches long, x/9=y/16 Plugging 30 in for y, we get 30/16=15/8=x/9 Multiplying both sides by 9, we get x=135/8=16.875 inches
