The Book of Exodus is the significant event because it marked the beginning of Israelites as a separate nation, the book of Exodus opens with the unorganized slaves in Egypt. With the Exodus, the deliverance from slavery in Egypt, it indebted us to God; and it was the introduction to the Giving of the Torah.
