how to solve 324.65 x 0.2 with the decimals in the right place. how do they end up where they should be, how?

When you set up the algorithm, line the numbers up like they dont have decimals, they way you would with regular numbers.
You then multiply them like you would in any other case. Once you have the answer with no decimals, you count the number of places from the decimal to the right of the two originals numbers (in this case it is 3 places) you then count from the right of your product(answer) to the left, 3 places. Answer: 64.930

Example:
324.65 (2 places to the right)
X 0.2 (1 place to the right)
______
64930 (start from the 0 and move 3 places to the left)
{64.930}
