That would be 0.5 g/ml because Density is equal to mass divided by volume and 8.5 is half of 17.

Answer:

0.5 g/ml.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • First we define density

Density (mass / volume) is a scalar magnitude referred to the amount of mass in a given volume of a substance.

Now if we have the mass is 8.5g. and occupies a volume of 17 ml.

to find the density we must find its mass / volume relation

d=(8.5g)/(17ml)= 0.5 g/m
