Ethnocentrism basically means thinking or believing that your culture is the best and all the others suck.

Cultural relativism is trying to understand another culture's way of being and how it can relate to yours, without putting them down.

Ethnocentrism is the act of assuming ones culture is superior to other cultures and cultural relativism involves viewing another culture from the lens of somebody else's point of view in a different culture.
