PLEASE HELP!

Why does Faustus say these words to Mephistophilis?
A) He wants to prove that Mephistophilis will obey him.
B) He does not recognize Mephistophilis.
C) He likes thinking about the Church.
D) He is frightened by Mephistophilis.

The answer is D.) He is frightened by Mephistophillis. I just answered this assignment and received a 100%

Faustus says to Mephistophilis that he is too ugly maybe because he wants to prove that he will obey him .And in fact he does and returns as a Franciscan friar. As regards option b, he knows who he is because he hask him to change into something else. in connection to church, Faustus does not believe in it and he is not frightened at all because he starts asking him questions about the world and death without hesitation.
