Indentured soldiers were soldiers that had an indenture which was a legal contract within the soldier and the man he worked/served under.The contract (indenture) was written twice on one piece of paper; the soldier got one piece and the captain got the other. These indentures described pay, and other things like equipment and rules. The soldier would usually have to share these things with his captain and king. hope this helps x
