In other words, if two triangles are similar, then their corresponding angles are congruent and corresponding sides are in equal proportion.

Step 2

To find the perimeter of the bigger rectangle, we use the ratio


\begin{gathered} (2)/(5)=\frac{perimeter\text{ of small rectangle}}{Perimeter\text{ of larger rectangle}} \\ perimeter\text{ of small rectangle=6} \end{gathered}
