Contamination of injection devices is limited to the needle and removing the needle makes the syringe safe for reuse. Is this statement true or false?

This is most definitely a false statement. Needles should never be reused

Answer:

False.

Step-by-step explanation:

Injection devices can have a high risk of passing an infection as they can be spread easily among people if safety practices are break when using them. Because of the danger that an injection device has, if a needle and a syringe are used, they are immediately contaminated and have to be discarded. For each patient a new needle and syringe should be used. Because of this, the statement that contamination of injection devices is limited to the needle and removing the needle makes the syringe safe for reuse is false.
