Universal theme just means the theme of the story has to have a universal message. Something that anyone or the "Universe" can understand or connect with.
Honestly this one is quite tricky because Hate,Friendship,Sacrifices being rewarded, and being polite is something everyone can understand or has experienced before, so either of those options can be the answer,but if I were to select only one it be D.Sacrifices will be rewarded. That's just my guess though, don't quote me on it. (:
