6 adults - 6*39.50= 237
11 kids. - 11*31= 341
341 + 237 = 578

Hello,
So the equation is 39.50x + 31y= 578
So first x has to be number of children and y be number of adults so ; x+y = 17 31x+ 39.50y = 578 x=11 , y=6.
The answer is
Y=6
.
