m= (y2-y1) / (x2-x1)
m= (0-4) / (2-(-6 ))
m= -4/8
m= -1/2

Answer:
y=(-1)/(2)(x-2)

Explanation:

The equation of a line passing through points (a,b) and (c,d) is given by :-

(y-b)=(d-b)/(c-a)(x-a)

Given : The points from which line is passing : (-6,4) and (2,0)

Then , the equation of the line, in point slope form, that passes through (-6,4) and (2,0)will be :-

(y-(0))=(4-0)/(-6-2)(x-2)\\\\\Rightarrow\y=(4)/(-8)(x-2)\\\\\Rightarrow\ y=(-1)/(2)(x-2)
