42/12 is 3.5 boxes
he has 4 boxes so there is no need for any more boxes

A box holds 12 oranges, in which there are 4 boxes
12 x 4 = 48
Tony has 42 oranges. 48 - 42 = 6
Tony needs
6
more oranges to fill all the boxes
