Marbury v. Madison, which relied on precedent
This was important because it set the clear boundary between the powers in the US government. What McCulloch vs Maryland started, the Marbury v Madison case ended. It established that William Marbury had no right to petition the Supreme court and Madison didn't have to release his documents.
