Did Reagan’s actions change how the United States approaches foreign relations

They did. He had a relaxed approach that was non-hostile and wanted to work together with others and ease the tensions that the country had with the Soviet union. Up until Regan, everyone was always very conservative towards foreign relations and was afraid of the Soviet Union.
