In what ways does the stern hand of the royal governors affected colonists' feelings toward the crown?

they were given no freedom. their lives were completely governed by Great Britain. This created the emphasis on freedom that we have today. They were taxed for things they made using their own money. It was overbearing.

The strong hand of royal governors increased the unhappiness that colonists felt regarding their political situation. Many colonists felt that the measures that the English government adopted, such as taxing the colonies heavily, were unfair. Moreover, they felt that they were not listened to when they expressed their grievances. These contributed to their desire to achieve independence.
