The perimeter of a rectangle is 72 meters. The width is 4 meters less than its length. What is the equation to find the length and width?

To solve this, make the equation:

2l+2(l-4)=72
4l=80
The length is 20 meters.

Then, plug 20 in the other equation:
w=l-4
The width is 16 meters.
