Hey there!

Combine your like terms!

(
-3m and
4m )

Since
4m is the greatest one we have to
subtract it from each of your sides

Like:
-3m - 4m \\ =  4m + 14 - 4m

This gives us:
-7 = 14

Both numbers are equal to
7 , so we have to divide by
-7 on each of your sides

(-7m)/(7) (Cancel) \\ \\ = (14)/(-7) (Keep)

Therefore the value of
is
-2

Good luck on your assignment and enjoy your day!

-3m (-4m) = 4m + 14 (-4m)

-3m - 4m = 14 (simplify)

-7m/ -7 = 14/ -7 (isolate the variable)

m = -2 (answer)

hope this helps
