gallon he uses to and from work = (2 / 3) of 12
12 * (2 / 3)
= 8 ----- he uses 8 gallons to and from work
+ 2 additinal for errands
therefore gallons for work + gallons for errand = *8 + 2
= 10
your answer is 10
