Determine if the expression - 10b^2 + 8a²c^2 + 10a^3 b^5 is a polynomial or not. If it is a polynomial, state the type and degree of the polynomial.

step 1

The expression is a polynomial , because not have a variable in the denominator

step 2

Degree of polynomial

To find the degree of the polynomial, you first have to identify each term

so

10b^2 -----> degree 2

10 a^3b^5 ------> 3+5------> degree 8

8a^2c^2 ------> 2+2-----> degree 4

therefore

highest degree is 8

step 3

Type

the expression hace three terms

so

Its a trinomial
