I think this is an inequality problem.

Given:
no-hitter innings is 112 in a season.
currently has 87 no-hitter innings.

Let x be the possible number, the sum of x and 87 should be equal to 112 to match the school record or be greater than 112 to break the school record.

x + 87
112
x + 87 - 87
≥ 112 - 87
x ≥ 25

The possible numbers of additional no-hitter innings the team can achieve to match or break the school record in a season are 25 and above.
