6-4x/9=y, you need to move the 4x over with subtracting but you cant do that so it sits on the other side with the 6, then you need to get the nine away from the y so you need to divide it but you get negative fractions so you leave it alone.

y=2/3-4/9x
6=4x+9y
subtract 4x from both sides
6-4x=9y
divide 9 from both sides
6/9-4/9x=y
reduce
2/3-4/9x=y
