If x/3= x+1/4, What is the value of x

well first because in this equation the first value is less than one, we should multiply the whole equation by 3, so
x/3= x+1/4
x=3x+3/4
now we should switch the values
3x+3/4=x
now subtract x from both sides
2x+3/4=0
now subtract 3/4 from both sides
2x=-3/4
now divide both sides by 2
x=3/8
So that's your answer!
