During the revolution war what were people called that lived in the colonies but remained loyal to Britain and did not support independence? (Hint- other than "loyalist.")

These people were often called tories. The name "tories" is another name for conservative in britain, which was the faction that supported the crown. There loyalty to the crown was due to a moral belief that rebellion was wrong, caution in face of major change, and deep pro-british sentiments
