If you are riding on a Ferris wheel that is 60 feet tall and it takes you 5 minutes to make one revolution, what is your linear velocity?

Circumference of the wheel = pi * diameter = 60 pi = 188.5 feet

So the person riding the wheel travels 188.5 feet in 5 minutes

Therefore his linear velocity = 188.5 / 5 = 37.7 feet / minute Answer
