3.5-10=-(10-3.5) = -6.5 using the distributive property. 4*3.5=3.5+3.5+3.5+3.5=14, and 14-10=4.
-6.5*4=-26
We had to do parenthesis first, and we then had to decide multiplication or subtraction in them. In PEMDAS, multiplication comes first, so we did that then the subtraction in the parenthesis. Lastly, we did multiplication after the parenthesis were over with
