During the Hurricane Katrina, a lot of property were destroyed namely, homes, businesses, roads, vehicles, etc. Most of the people lost their livelihood, homes, and relatives, just to mention a few. As a result trauma, depression and sense of helplessness sets in to many and may result on impacting ones personality negatively. As a personality psychologist is a professional trained to handle issues affecting ones personality, in this case of the aftermath of hurricane Katrina, he or she would have played a major role in: 1. Helping to identifying cases of personality disorders among the victims 2. Assisting individuals to overcome the aftermath trauma, depression, or any personality disorders through counselling and other methods.
