A customer purchases a pair of jeans and a few shirts. Each shirt costs the same amount. The expression 60 + 20x represents the cost before tax. What do the different parts of the expression model? Drag the parts of the expression into the boxes to match each description.

Cost of jeans=
total cost of the shirts=

(I think that 60 represents the price for the jeans and 20x represents the shirts)

Cost before tax = 60 + 20x.

In this model, 60 is used only one time and so, it would represent the pair of jeans.

20x = 20 + 20 + 20 +.... x times

Since, it is given that each shirt costs the same amount, it is clear that 20 represents the cost of one shirt and x represents the number of shirts the customer purchases.
