We have:
mass of Mercury = 3.3011×10^23 kgmass of Venus = 4.8675×10^24 kg
mass of Earth = 5.9772 x 10^24 kg
mass of Mars = 6.41693 x 10^23

To get the average mass, we will divide the total mass by the number of planets we have
Total mass = 3.3011x10^23+4.8675x10^24+5.9772x10^24+6.41693x10^23
= 1.1816 x 10^25 kg
Total number of planets = 4 planets
Therefore:
Average mass in scientific notation can be calculated as follows:
average mass = (1.1816 x 10^25) / 4 = 2.9541 x 10^24 kg
