total price of walnuts = 4.40 * 3. 2 = 14.08
total price of cashew = 6.25 * 2.4 = 15

14.08 + 15 = $29.08

Jamal does not have enough money to buy those things

20 - 19.08 = $-9.08 -------- meaning he will owe money to whoever he's buying it from

Answer with Step-by-step explanation:

Jamal buys 3.2 pounds of walnuts for $4.40 per pound

and 2.4 pounds of cashews for $6.25 per pound

1 pound of walnuts cost=$4.40

3.2 pounds of walnuts cost=$(4.40×3.2)

= $14.08

1 pound of cashews cost=$6.25

2.4 pounds of cashews cost=$(2.4×6.25)

= $15

Total cost of ingredients Jamal buyed=$(15+14.08)

=$ 29.08

He is buying using $20 bills

so he needs total $40 (two $20 bills)

Total change he will receive=$(40-29.08)

=$10.92

Hence, he will receive a total change of:

$10.92
