If the US gains 1 person every 11 seconds, we can find how many people the US gains each year. We can divide the total number of seconds each year by 11 seconds. (365 x 24 x 3600 s) / (11 s) = 2866909 people The US gains 2866909 people each year. The US gains 2.866909 million people each year. f(t) = 300 + 2.866909 t f(0) = 300 f'(t) = 2.866909 f'(0) = 2.866909
