Solve the proportion 20/12 = t/27

you can cross multiply (multiply the top of the first fraction to the bottom of the second, and the bottom of the second fraction with the top of the first. you can do this any time you have fractions set equal to each other) to get 12t = 20(27)

12t = 540

divide both sides by 12.

t = 45
