Point A, B and C are colinear, and B lies between A and C. If AC= 48, AB= 2x+2 and BC= 3x+6, what is BC?

First, u have to find x so u set up this equation:
2x+2+3x+6=48
Then solve to get:
5x+8 = 48
5x=40
X=8


Then, u substitute 8 in the expression 3x+6:
3(8) +6
Ur final answer is 30.
