Which apple weighs more, one that weighs 2/3 of a pound or one that weighs 5/6 of a pound?

5/6 sense you multiply 3x2 which gives you 6 for the denominator and sense you multiplied the 3, now you have to multiply the numerator which gives you 4. so 2/3=4/6 and 4/6 is less than 5/6

compare the fractions by finding the LCM

LCM of 3 and 6 is 6

so converting to sixths we have
2/3 = 4/6


so the one weighing 5/6 of a pound is the bigger apple
