What was the greatest cause of weather-related fatalities in the United States in 2008?

The greatest cause of weather related death was due to Tornadoes. Tornadoes were number one claiming 126 lives. This is actually fairly atypical as flooding was number 2 with 82 people killed and severe heat , which has always been the number one killer by weather, was in third place which claimed 72 lives.
