I think the lack of money and equipment and lack of organization were two disadvantages the colonies faced in starting a war with England.

Answer:

  1. The lack of training and discipline the American troops had. Many men deserted the army because of the fear of getting killed.
  2. Shortage of economic resources to faced a long war. Such as ammo, food, clothing, and medicine.

Although those and more disadvantage the United States population managed to repeal the British army after an 8 years war.
