Answer 1 1/4. first for 3 9/12 you multiply 12 x 3 + 9 same for 6 1/2. then add. then make it into a mixed fraction again.

3 9/12= 3 3/4
3 3/4= 15/4
6 1/2= 13/2
13/2(2/2)= 26/4
15/4+ 26/4= 41/4
The answer is 41/4 or 10 1/4.
Hope this helps!
