The correct answer is C) The creation of a new distinct, blended African American culture.

What resulted from the growth of large plantations (increased slave population) in British North America during the 1600s and 1700s was the creation of a new distinct, blended African American culture.

Agriculture was the most important part of the Southern States economy. Owners of the big southern plantations knew that they needed slaves to grow crops and trade it in the American colonies or export them to Europe. So slavery for them was a necessity. Thousands if not millions of Africans arrived at the American colonies and formed a life there. New generations of black people were born there and an African America culture was born too.
