Mitosis: Starts off with one cell, and results in two daughter cells. Both still have the same number of chromosomes.There are five stages of mitosis.

Meiosis: Starts off with one cell, and results in four daughter cells. All only have half the number of chromosomes. I think there are 9 stages..?
