The correct answer is b. continental-continental convergent boundary. In this type of boundary none sinks beneath the other as the continental crust is relatively buoyant and of the same density. No subduction takes place and both crust are folded and faulted upwards to form fold mountain ranges. Since no subduction takes place, no trench will be formed.
