This is the same thing as saying
-6 × -6
This would give you 36 (remember that two negatives multiplied cancel each other out).
-5³
-5 × -5 × -5
25 × -5
-125

(-6)^2= -6*-6= 36
(-5)^3= -5*-5*-5= -125
Note that if your question does not have the parentheses, the answer is different. Hope this helps!
