Step 1: 1/2 x 12/2 = 12/4
Step 2: 12/4 = 3 (wholes)
Answer: 3

When dividing fractions, multiply the first number by the reciprocal of the second.

1/2*12/2= 12/4
12/4= 3

Final answer: 3
