What is 6x(13-6) =7 squared?

The first step is to multiply the "6X" by what is inside the brackets. This gives you 78X - 36X = 7²

7²= 7X7 = 49

Next simplify the equation 78X-36X= 42X
So 42X = 49
Divide both sides by 42 to get X= 1.1666666...

(The 6 is recurring)

6 × (13 - 6) = 42, not 7, but 7² is 49 and 42² is 1,764.
