False because 1/2 = 0.5, 1/3 = 0.33, 1/4 = 0.25, etc.

False.
When the numerator are the same, the fraction with the lesser denominator is greater.
Here's an examle:
1/1>1/2
The denominator of 1/1 is lesser, but the fraction as a whole in greater.
