What is the equation of the linr that is perpendicular to and has the same y intercept as the given line

( 0, 1 ) ( 5, 0 )

First find the slope using rise over run
0-1/5-0
-1/5

To get a perpendicular slope, find the negative reciprocal.
Reciprocal: -5/1
Negative of that: 5/1 or 5

The y intercept is 1 (0,1).
Plug the values into slope intercept

Final answer: y=5x+1
