2 squares + 1 square = 3 squares in all

1 circle + 3 circles = 4 circles in all

Explanation:

In the given figure we have three types of shapes : square, circle and triangle.

From the given figure it is clear that

In row 1 : 2 squares, 1 circle and 1 triangle

In row 2 : 1 square, 3 circles and 2 triangles

There are 2 squares in row 1 and 1 square in row 2, so the addition statement is

2 squares + 1 square = 3 squares in all

There are 1 circle in row 1 and 3 circles in row 2, so the addition statement is

1 circle + 3 circles = 4 circles in all

top row has 2 squares

bottom row has 1 square

so you have 2 + 1 = 3 in all


top row has 1 circle

bottom row has 3 circles

so you have 1 +3 = 4 in all
