simplify both sides of the equation:
(4/5)(2x)+(4/5)(5)+-4=1(distribute)
8/5x+4+-4=1
(8/5x)+(4+-4)=1 (combine like-terms)
- multiply both sides by 5/8
(5/8)*(8/5x)=(5/8)*(1)
your answer is: x=5/8
