Solve the equation
5/6x-2=-2/3x+1

5/6x - 2 = -2/3x + 1...multiply everything by common denominator of 6
5x - 12 = - 4x + 6 ...add 4x to both sides
5x + 4x - 12 = 6 ....add 12 to both sides
5x + 4x = 6 + 12 ...simplify
9x = 18 ...divide both sides by 9
x = 18/9
x = 2 <===
