This is false. Let's test it.
So let's say that x is 2.
The statement is:
-2 + x is positive
-2 + 2 is positive
0 is positive
This is not correct
Let's say that x is -2
-2 + x is positive
-2 + (-2) is positive
-2 - 2 is positive
-4 is positive
